Challenge

One of the primary challenges faced during this project were industry-wide delays resulting in extended lead times that we expertly navigated on our clients behalf. Despite these setbacks, our clients exhibited exceptional patience as we navigated through the process, demonstrating their unwavering trust in our team.

Our clients embarked on a journey to build a new home in closer proximity to their children and grandchildren. To suit their personal and professional lives, our vision aimed to balance formal touches for entertaining clients and friends with warm and durable elements for family gatherings.

Working with the new home’s blank canvas, every element was hand-selected. We expanded their existing collection of furniture, incorporated fine art and accessories, and reupholstered where necessary to assimilate their well-loved pieces into rooms with new furnishings and color schemes.

Special attention was given to custom draperies, original artwork, and the creation of specific spaces tailored to individual family needs, including a bunk room and game room for their grandchildren, an outdoor cabana, and a well-designed home office for remote working.

Notable features include the elegant dining room with custom wood paneling, Scalamandre chair upholstery, and a Federal Mirror with an eagle — paying homage to classic formal dining spaces. The keeping room boasts tasteful “tree of life” draperies, infusing natural beauty into the space.

In the oversized formal living room, the fireplace takes center stage. Designed in wood by a master cabinet maker and faux-finished to resemble marble, its sensational surround is a testament to the power of details. A handsome baby grand piano, custom upholstery, and retracting glass doors invite lively indoor to outdoor living.

From the exterior to the interior, every aspect of this home is thoughtful, harmonious, and destined to bring quiet luxury to everyday living.
