Classic Modern in SoHo
Soho
New York City
A beautiful pied-à-terre in the heart of New York City, this abode was designed for an accomplished business owner with a passion for travel. Having previously collaborated with Jerad on her Baton Rouge residence, our client entrusted him with her classic yet relevant urban retreat.
Throughout the interiors, traditional and modern finishes intertwine. Textured walls suffuse the home with comfort, complemented by lustrous fixtures in warm brass. Subtle patterns and contemporary artwork are carefully layered throughout each space for interest and movement. The addition of wallpaper plays a pivotal role in crafting mood and ambiance. In the fourth bedroom, an art-deco inspired wallpaper by York evokes the glamour of a 1920s lounge, infusing a touch of vintage charm. Similarly, wallpapers in the foyer expand the visual space and infuse much-needed architectural interest throughout the apartment.
The living area welcomes with neutral furnishings, creating a serene ambiance, while the bedroom captivates with a striking gold accent wall and vibrant artwork against a crisp white backdrop. Engaging, dynamic, and sophisticated, this city dwelling is an idyllic home away from home.
“Beyond impressive.”
“My vision for my Soho apartment was a dual-purpose space: stylish and spacious enough for my daughter to live full-time, yet accommodating for extended visits from family and friends. Thankfully, we found the perfect location in a new building, but it was a white box completely lacking the style, glamour, and contemporary flair I envisioned. Jerad designed my primary residence, so I called him immediately. His understanding of my style, coupled with his talent for translating my ideas into a captivating visual narrative, was invaluable. His local New York contacts further ensured a smooth and efficient process throughout the design and construction phases. The end result is beyond impressive. Best of all, Jerad integrated my treasured contemporary art collection, transforming the space into a gallery of personal significance, offering beautiful discoveries around every corner.”
